Machinery for the production of sanitary napkin and baby diaper was developed. Sanitary napkin technology has been transferred to a number of organizations in the different parts country. A number of women members from SHGs were trained in the unit and started not only production activity but also creating awareness among adolescent girls and women for use of napkin and menstrual hygiene management.    Baby diapers were prepared for the use of babies from   0 to 6 months. Field trials were successfully carried out and the technology has been transferred to Dr.Soundram Trust in Gandhigram for production of diapers.
